I think spring weather is here to stay! We are cheering these perfect temps and getting out of the house as much as possible. On Monday, we joined our friends for a morning at Biltmore Estate. Our exploring took us on a three mile walk throughout the conservatory and expansive gardens. Pictures never do the grounds justice, in my opinion, so if you have not experienced the Estate in the spring, add it to your bucket list for sure.
Our timing was just right to catch some live music in the conservatory. The flautist took the time to explain what she was playing, specifically addressing the children. She also introduced them to the piccolo and let them hear the differences between the two instruments. So kind of her!
The South Terrace offers spectacular mountain views. This particular spot was only a few feet off of the ground. Other lookouts are much, much higher!
The kids were glued to these landscapers in the main garden.
After lunch, we found a grassy place where the children could run (or, in Caleb’s case, crawl) freely without bumping into tourists.
And this happened spontaneously….
My mama heart would have exploded if this display of sweet brotherly love
had gone on any longer!
The Williamson children adore Caleb, too, and held him every chance they got.
As school begins to wind down for the year, we have many more field trips in our future!
