Spring: The time for warming weather, blossoming flowers, planting gardens… and achievement tests! Unfortunately, there is no getting around it. North Carolina is blessedly hands-off with their homeschoolers, but they do require annual standardized testing for children aged 7 and over.
So, last week, Ryan and I spent several hours each day plowing through the sections. Thank goodness a friend warned me in advance that the entire test is read aloud by the test administrator (that would be me!). Therefore, our celebratory ice cream outing was as much for me as it was for Ryan!
